Can the wyvern heal himself? I tried attacking him while he was doing that animation, but he wouldn't stop and he came down only when he finished. Am I wrong? I remember seeing some people runing from the Solaire place then hiding on the left wall of the bridge while surviving his fire attack and then somehow waiting the 14 seconds to make him come down they do not throw anything at him. There is another easy strategy to kill this dragon. I noticed this hasn't been mentioned here. The normal method to obtain the sword is to go under the bridge and shoot its tail with arrows.
The dragon moves to the bridge. You have a small time window to shoot the tail again before he flies off back to the top. If you can manage to cut off the tail exactly when the dragon is on the bridge, the dragon falls off to the other side of the bridge. Tried this many times and it worked every time for me. The only problem is to know how many hits is required, which depends on the item you're using and the stats.

It's not fragile. It's got normal rating however it's 2H Strong Attack animation sends a shock wave. The Drake Sword is powerful compared to other weapons found in the very early game, but has no parameter bonuses. The damage of this weapon is fixed and only increases when reinforced or buffed by an outside effect. The Zweihander can be attained very early on in the game, and is a very potent weapon due to the sheer amount of damage that you will be able to do from early on.
